Our certification body offers you a solution-orientated product certification with respect to the electrical features according to DIN EN 45011 -- coming ISO 17065 -- whereby no design consultation occurs.
The examination of the electrical features of the generating type ensures that your project supports the grid ideal, while it is able to ride through voltage dips or guarantees reactive power under voltage protection in the case of a failure in the grid as well as voltage and frequency stability.
Type certificate
The type certification according to FGW TR 8 of wind turbines, solar inverters and combustion engines (commissioning after 01.01.2009) includes next to the conformity evidence based on the type examination of the FGW-TR3 of the generating type and as appropriate by reference to a component certificate also the validation of the type model after the FGW-TR4.

Component certificates
All components which are necessary to realize the requirements of the dynamic grid support have to have a component certificate. This can be drawn up by the certification body if the conformity to stated guidelines and other normative documents is given.
With one of the next revisions of the FGW TR8 it is also necessary to have a component certificate for the park controller . Prove your qualification already now!
The certification procedure for components is analog to the procedure of type certificates whereby a component certificate is not able to replace a type certificate. The transmission of the certificate is not allowed.
Component certificates for:
- FACTS and similar elements
- Reactive power under voltage protection, Q->&U< protection
- Park controller
- Converters etc
Project certificates
For new wind or solar farms are it necessary to have a project certificate which gives evidence to the electrical features of generating types at the grid connection point. In case of wind farms, the certificate is not only mandatory for the grid connection but for the full payment. This concerns mainly the following requirements:
• Modification of the grid voltage through the supply of generating projects
• Allowed power quality e.g. flicker and harmonics
• Active power reduction after demand
• Active power reduction by over frequency
• Reactive power capability
• Static voltage approach
• Stay at the grid by voltage dips and dynamic grid support
• Protection settings
Additionally the feed active power, the maximum short circuit contribution of the generating project and the current load of the operating supplies will be named for the active and reactive power of the project.
The operator of the farm is responsible for surrendering the validated type model of the generating unit and he has to ensure that the type certificate is in conformity with the validated model. The grid operator gives the characterized data of the public grid and the demand of the relevant protection features.
